Wedding Officiant

Our favorite part of Officiating is spending time getting to know each couple, learning their love story, then being such an important part of one of the most special days of their life. I love that no two weddings are the same; each unique and special no matter how intimate or grand.

We perform ceremonies at homes, beaches, parks, ranches and large venues. If you have any questions or are looking for some help with finding a location please feel free to let us help you pick the perfect wedding location for your ceremony.

We now offer penitentiary officiant services!

Exceptional service is our priority. Contact Dragonfly Mobile Notary & Fingerprinting today at 941-822-2016

Wedding OfficiantThe ceremony officiating process:

Consultations can be done in person, through video chat, over the phone, or email. This is where we get a feel for each other and make sure we are the best fit to perform your wedding.

We will work together to create the perfect personalized, custom script for your ceremony.  We can go through some scripts and adjust them to your taste, work with a ceremony you have created, or create a script from scratch. Our past ceremonies average about 20 minutes but you choose the script length and you have final approval of the ceremony script.

Want to light candles, pour sand in a bowl or build a puzzle as your unity ceremony addition? Let’s do it! Once we go over ceremony details we will draft a script for you to review. What you like, don’t like, what you may want to add. You can even have friends or family come forward for a reading if you’d like. The end result will be the perfect ceremony you never knew you wanted!

We will arrive early to the ceremony venue to meet with you, your coordinator, pet wrangler,  DJ, videographer and photographer or anyone else needed to answer any questions.

Before we can perform your wedding ceremony, you will be responsible for purchasing the marriage license from any County Clerk’s office in Florida that issues marriage licenses. Follow this link for more information: Florida Marriage Guide

Florida Rules

  • You can get married in any county in Florida, regardless of where you obtained your marriage license.
  • To obtain a marriage license you need: a picture ID such as a driver’s license, state ID card, or valid passport; both parties will also have to provide their Social Security numbers, but do not need to provide their Social Security Cards.
  •  Fees: $93.50 approximate. Marriage license fees can be reduced by up to $32.50 if you complete a licensed Florida pre-marital course.
  • Marriage license is valid for 60 days after issuance. You must perform the ceremony of marriage before this 60 days has expired.  Blood Tests are not required.
  • There is a 3-day waiting period after issuance of the license before you can get married, unless you have completed the Florida pre-marital course, in which case the waiting period is waived.

Florida Marriage Statutes can be found by clicking here: Florida Marriage Statutes.

The license is signed and notarized after the ceremony, and there are two spots on the marriage license for up to two witnesses to sign if you’d like (not legally required but always a nice memory). You must then file the license with the County Clerks office and you will receive your official paperwork from the state up to 10 days later.
