Sometimes the best parts of a business day are the ones you never saw coming. You might think being a mobile notary is all about the paperwork and the ink, but for me, it has always been about the neighbors I meet across Southwest Florida.
I was recently out in the yellow Jeep for a mobile signing in North Port when I met the most unexpected local resident. Her name is Myrtle, and she is a turtle with absolutely zero shyness. Most turtles duck into their shells the moment they see a stranger, but not Myrtle. She strolled right over to me to say hello. She even let me pet her head and her feet. It was one of those sweet, unscripted moments that makes traveling to client homes in Sarasota and Charlotte County so incredibly special.
Connection over Transactions
Before I started Dragonfly Mobile Notary & Fingerprinting, I spent 12 years scheduling surgeries and 8 years working at a dialysis center. Those 20 years in healthcare taught me how to be alert and oriented to the energy in a room. Myrtle reminded me of that lesson all over again. My work is technically about documents, stamps, and legal signatures, but the heart of it is the people and the unique pets I meet along the way.
